The 30 day blog challenge - Day 19

Nicknames you have and how or why you have them

Before everything else, my first name is "Jaquiline."  No second name, all my other siblings have one worded first names, too.  But I maybe have a simple name, but people can unbelievably derive a handful of nicknames from "Jaquiline".

LenLen or Len - Yeah, I have a very traditional Pinoy nickname where one syllable is repeated twice, haha!  This has been my nickname ever since, as they say, "nagka-utak ako".  I don't know how or who amongst my family decided to call me that, but I'm assuming it came from the "line" of "Jaquiline".  The people who call me Len are my family (of course), my friends from the neighborhood, people from the neighborhood who aren't my friends and highschool close friends.

Jacque - If I remember it right, I used this nickname after Mylene Dizon starred in ABS-CBN's "FLAMES".  You know, that TV series from Channel 2 that featured various cheesy love stories when we were young?  That.  I was in elementary then, Mylene Dizon's character is "Jacque" and I found it cute. Thus, it became my nickname.  Haha.  Elementary, highschool and even some college friends call me this.

Que - Pronounced as "KE".  This, I got from my highschool friends. It is actually a nickname derived from "Jacque", an nickname of a nickname, if you may.

QueQue - Pronounced as... you know.  I also got this from my highschool friends, but the ones with dirty minds.  Haha! I didn't mind though, I think this was thought of when we were playing a game of "pa-panget-an ng pangalan".  Hehe.

Jaq - Now this, this is the nickname I am currently known using. I don't know why this has only been thought of when I was in college na, nagkatamaran na lang ng syllables? Haha.  This is also my favorite nickname. :)  People I met during and after college call me this.

Uiline - This is really not an "official" nickname, I just wanted to share this to you because I think the origin of it is funny.  Haha.  My college barkada, yes all of them girls, they all have second names.  Me, NIL.  One time we were out to play bowling and in the score board, they entered their second names as their "alias".  For me, since I have none, they declared it to be "Uiline".  Sweet, no?  Bow.

P.S. I also answer to "tol", "labs", "friend", "sis", "te", "(i was supposed to include what V calls me, but no ;p)".

It's 4am already, I will sleep na,

The 30 day blog challenge - Day 18

Plans / Dreams / Goals You Have

Though a plan, a dream and a goal could be defined by one same thing:

I plan to have a dog.
My dream is to have a dog.
One of my goals is to have a dog.

Still, there is a vast difference between the three.

plan n a specific project or definite purpose

I plan to stay at the company I’m currently working at for a minimum of 5 years. That means I still have myself more than 3 years of commitment with it; but that doesn’t imply that I will submit a resignation letter come my 5th year anniversary.  I might even stay longer (or shorter), depending on what the situation will be.

dream n a cherished hope; ambition; aspiration

Gosh, I have lots.  But on the top of my head (is) are these:  I dream to have an ideal future life.  When I eventually get married and have my own beautiful family, I want to have a lovely house with a fine-looking kitchen, a smart and malambing dog, and a humongous front yard (oh and a swimming pool won't hurt ;p).  I also want to have my own car, apart from the family car that we will have.  I want my future family to never have to worry (or fight) about money.  I want to be able to give everything (they) we could possibly want. ;)

It’s MY dream, walang pakelamanan ok?! :p

goal n the aim or object towards which an endeavor is directed

1. To continue and never stop saving more than enough money (until it hurts, haha)
2. Be a "skilled" cook before (or after? haha) I get married.
3. Get my old "body" back, or at least get rid of this unnecessary dropsies by December. Haha!
4. Achieve my work-related objectives for FY12 (naks! haha)
5. To get to travel around our beautiful country before I get married (travels outside the country may come after, hihi)

Taking advantage of the *now* working keyboard,

The 30 day blog challenge - Day 17

someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why

Believe it or not, I got stuck in this 30-day blog challenge thinking about this one.  I have tried so many times to make a draft about it, but I always failed.  For a long time, I only thought of Kuya Kim (regarding the subject of course) because I wanted to know if he's telling the truth in every trivia he shares or he's just bluffing because nobody would even care to check the facts.  But I can't just reason that out, can I?!  (Plus, it's lame too, I know).  So I gave it time and time paid off. Like this is a big deal, haha

Well, after thinking deeply about it, I realized I don't want to switch lives with a certain "somebody" for a day; nobody is that intriguing to me.  But! But! After being so addicted to "How I Met Your Mother" over the past month (late bloomer alert), I somehow wished I was one of those guys.  No, I don't want to be a hollywood actress.  I just want to be a quasi-fictional character from an American comedy series.  Even for a day.

my second favorite comedy series as of the moment
numero uno pa din ^_^

I want to be surrounded by people whose words will bring laughter in the background every other minute of my day.  Not that the people around me now are boring, I assure you, they aren't (I'm good at picking friends you know, haha).

I want to live an imperfect life and be able to make punch lines (or quotable quotes) about it.

I want to skip all the boring things that happen to me and focus on the ones that matter (I can always have a crystal clear flashback, after all).

I want to have an interesting story, even a snippet of my day that would brighten somebody else's when they hear about it.

I want to live in a world where awful things, if they ever happen, get resolved in a maximum of 45 minutes (when an episode ends, that is).

I want my days to be spontaneous.

Most importantly, I want the people I love (the main cast) to stay with me from Season 1 to the end of the series.  Only those whose roles are less significant can go.  The main cast should never ever leave.

Daydreamingly yours,

The 30 day blog challenge - Day 16

something you could live without

janjararaaaaaannnnnnn!!!!!! A credit card!!!!

pic is from here
Don't get me wrong, it's not that I can buy anything I want in cash.  Well, it's partly that (haha) but there are a lot of reasons why (I think) I can live without it.

1.  I am not the bread winner of our family.  I do help in some of the expenses, but it definitely makes a big difference that I am not shouldering the whole of it.  Cheers to all you bread winners! Most especially you, ate! :)

2.  Although I am a very impulsive shopper, I too am a kuripot one.  Since I was a kid, I've never been used to having signature (not to mention, expensive) clothes or shoes or bags. So growing up, I didn't become so attached to them.  In fact, I squawk at blouses that cost more than 300 pesos. Haha!

3.  I am a tsangge type of gal.  While most girls boast how much their shopping finds cost, me, I boast how less it is! :)

4.  I have a boyfriend that is soooo reliable when my magastos button is switched on.  It helps too that he's always with me when I buy things. :D

5.  I think long and hard before I finally decide to buy a new gadget.  That's why after almost three years of employment, I only have two that I can really call my own. :)

6.  I don't like the feeling of paying for something that is already used up.

7.  I don't want to buy things that I can't afford, even if I could afford it through monthly installments.  ;p

8.  Lastly, (reemphasizing my point number 1) I think I can live without a CC because I am not obliged to buy things that I don't have the means for. :)

The 30 day blog challenge - Day 15

put your iPod on shuffle and share the first 10 songs that play

I remember when I started out this 30-day blog challenge not 15 days but (oh my gosh) 7 months ago, I had no iPod. Naisip ko pa nga, ang corny naman pag nareach ko na tong day 15, mp3 player ng cp ko lang magagamit ko (eh iilan lang kanta dun, haha).  Anyhoo... enough with the flashbacks. :)

Songs in shuffle mode (plus a little of their lyrics):
I'm a mixture of love songs-rock-rnb type of gal, so...

1. Droplets by Colbie Callait
Cuz I'm walkin down this road alone and figured all
I'm thinking bout is you, is you my love..

When I'm with you
To me everything is effortless

2. Glad by Tyler Hilton
You can't say what you want or
Take what you want or
Rest and wake anyway that you want
You said your life needed something special
Well here I am, baby..
Well, aren't you glad?

3. Things I'll Never Say by Avril Lavigne (one of my favorites)
If I could say what I want to say
I'd say I wanna blow you... away
Be with you every night
Am I squeezing you too tight?
If I could say what I want to see
I want to see you go down on one knee
Marry me today
Guess, I'm wishing my life away
With these things I'll never say.
.

4. I swear by All 4 One
For better or worse.. Till death do us part..
I love you with every beat of my heart..
I swear..

5. Dance with my Father by Luther Vandross
I know I'm praying for much too much
But could you send back the only man she loved?
I know you don't do it usually
But dear Lord she's dying to dance with my father again

6. For a Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic by Paramore
I never wanted to say this
You never wanted to stay
I put my faith in you, so much faith
And then you just threw it away
You threw it away

I'm not so naive
My sorry eyes can see
The way you fight shy
Of almost everything
Well, if you give up
You'll get what you deserve

7. Because of You by Neyo
and I know this much is true
baby you have become my addiction
I'm so strung out on you, I can barely move
But I like it and it's all because of you

8. Please don't Leave Me by Pink
I forgot to say out loud how beautiful you really are to me
I can't be without, you're my perfect little punching bag
And I need you, I'm sorry.

9. You Smile by Justin Bieber
If you need me I'll come running from a thousand miles away
When you smile, I smile.. ;)

10. There's No Easy Way by James Ingram (I so love this song, I will paste the whole of its lyrics, hihi)

I held her close to me
'Cause I know she breaks so easily
And then I told her
But I knew no matter how I tried to console her
She's just do the best she could
But there are times the best in no damn good
And no matter how you try to be kind
There's always still a part of you you leave behind
When it falls apart

There's no easy way to break somebody's heart

I lied and told her she'd be fine
Though we both knew it was just a lie
I had to do it
'Cause I'd a' said anytihng to help me get through it

Then she reached out for my hand
And her simple touch was more than I could stand
And I had to turn away
'Cause I knew all the hurt
That she was feeling I was feeling too
'Cause when it falls apart

There's no easy way to break somebody's heart

She could've gotten angry
And made me feel like a guilty child
But I realized that never was her style
I wanted her to hurt me
And not treat me like a friend
I wanted to to say there'd be someday
I'm come crawling on my kneeds to ask her back again
But she acted like a lady 'til the end
Oh, what a lady

I thought that she'd break down
But she smiled at me and never made a sound
And I guess she understood in her way
Cause her silence told me everything she could not say
When it falls apart
There's just no easy way

There's just no easy way
There's just no easy way to break somebody's heart.

The 30 day blog challenge - Day 14

a picture of something you ate and 10 confessions

just grabbed the pic here ;)
Now, confessions:

  1. I hate hot milo, or any hot choco drink at that.  I love ‘em ice cold. :)
  2. I’ve never grown to love drinking milk.  I feel nasusuka when I drink them.
  3. When my friends borrow my D10, and I see their underwater pictures uploaded in FB, I get jealous.  Hahaha!
  4. I kept a diary during my highschool days.  In fact, I used to own more than one.  I am madrama like that.
  5. During my kabataan, whenever I see unused notebooks in our house (or even used ones that still has a number of clean pages) I immediately think of what to do with it.  Hence, confession number 4.  Other uses were: Slumbook (or autograph as we often called it, I used to have lots of that too), song book, poem book, text quote book, etc. Hihi.
  6. I am a cry baby. It’s just not obvious.  Haha.
  7. I set my alarm clock 1 hour before my target time of waking up.  I maximize the “snooze” functionality a damn lot.
  8. I always have the tendency to bite more than I can chew (figuratively speaking, ok?)
  9. I can be a total bitch sometimes.  I’m just lucky some people stay. Hihi.
  10. Yesterday, for the first time, I saw a half-brother of mine (well, I saw his FB profile).  He’s the age of my kuya (early thirties) and boy does he look like tatay (and kuya too)!  Haha!  Yeah, I only learned about him yesterday.  I know we have lots of half-kapatids all over the Philippines, haha, but I didn’t know there is one as old as him.

There. I said it.  Hehe.

The 30 day blog challenge - Day 13

write a letter telling someone something you could never tell them

Okay, after what seemed like forever of erectile dysfunction (as the case of my writing mojo, that is). A new post. Hihi. :)

I really wanted to make it up with my 30-day blog post challenge, so excuse me if I bore you with this.  Plus, I really don’t know how to start blogging again, hahaha!

Anyhoo… just like tradition, I won't write A letter to SOMEONE (eeew).  I will write tons.  << exaggerating :o

Starting on 3, 2, 1.

***
Dear me blog,

I missed you! :-*

***
Dear Rule#5,

I want you back. :(

***
Dear Marc Zuckerberg,

Please change the "What's on your mind?" to "What's your problem?" in the status textbox of Facebook.  I think it is the more appropriate question to those who love to post their rants online.  Gosh, there are plenty of them.

***
Dear Facebook-friends-who-love-to-post-their-rants-on-their-fb-statuses,

Everybody has problems.  Suck it up, will you?

***
Dear Facebook-friends-who-love-to-post-their-rants-on-their-fb-statuses,

***
Dear Marc Zuckerberg,

I changed my mind, I think the better question is “If you post your rants here, what difference would it make?”  Yeah, put that.

***
Dear Facebook-friends-who-love-to-post-their-rants-on-their-fb-statuses,

Kidding!!!  I broadcast stupid and lonesome things (that I somehow have no control about) on the Internet too!  That’s our thing! So go ahead, post all your troubles no matter how personal they are on-thegoddamn-line!

***

>=D

***
Dear kuko sa paa,

Happy Easter to you!! Haha! :)

***
Dear DOTA,

This is the first and maybe the last time I will ever admit this to you.  *whispers* Sometimes, I still wish V had met me first.  And screw you for always being there! Hahaha! ;p

***
Dear Sun Broadband,

What will it take for your connection to be freaking stable?!

***
Dear nhix,

I’ll always treasure conversations like this:

:D

***
Dear em, ep, nora, nhix, jejo,

If I had only one friend left, I’d want it to be five. :)

***
Dear you,

i love you.  Even though sometimes you hurt me over the littlest and the stupidest of things, I do.  I love the happy you, I love the sad you, I love the cheerful you, I love the gloomy you, I love the sweet you, I love the stubborn you, I love the humorous you, I love the serious you.  You see, I love everything that is you.  I ask nothing of you but just be there for me.  By being there for me, I mean accepting the monster that I sometimes am. :)

P.S. If in case you won't be able to do that anymore, well, it's your loss ;p

***
Dear everybody,

Let me sing to you an excerpt of the song “Warning” by Incubus.

*ehem, ehem*

I suggest we learn to love ourselves before it’s made illegal. :)

.peace.out.

The 30 day blog challenge - Day 12

A picture of your room & don’t cheat by cleaning it. Share a secret.

First off, pictures of my room:

My room is also equal to a mezzanine in our house, so it's just basically a sleeping area, not so much of a "room".

It was twice its size before, but just last week, we divided it into two (the divider is the blue drawers) so that my "nagdadalagang" niece can also have her private space.  Namimiss ko na ngang magpagulong-gulong sa pagtulog e, hahaha!

No, I did not cheat by cleaning it, please.  Ate Jeng2 voluntarily did that this morning, hahaha! I just took advantage of the moment, haha! Thanks ate jeng!

Now, a secret.

Hihi.

I have created another blog!! :)  It's not in blogger anymore though, it's in tumblr.  I've been tumblog-hopping for the past few days and I found this one tumblog that made me want to have one, too.  Funny how a single blog can push you, eh?!  Anyhoo...

I wanted to have a tumblog because I wanted to have something where I can post lots of one-liners or copy-paste cool finds from the web.  Or maybe when I hear a song and wanted to emphasize one line of its lyrics, I could post it in huge fonts (contrary to when I tweet it or post it as a status in FB). Or when I got to watch a movie and I wanted to share one scene which I loved, I could collate pictures of the setting and retell the drama (so that other people can love it too, hihi).

So... there you go. :)

Oh! The URL?

jaqbadeo.tumblr.com (of course!)

It is my attempt at cute. :)  I hope you'll like it, but I won't care if you don't. Hahaha! :)

The 30 day blog challenge - Day 11

a picture of something you dislike

I'm sorry, it took long before I made this entry.  But believe you me; it is in my intentions to get this over with.  No, I did not have a hard time thinking of one thing I hate the most, because I am very certain of this.  I didn't even have to think about it.  I hate this thing so much.

I really couldn't take looking at pictures of real cockroaches, so I picked a cartoon version. Haha!
You see, what stopped me from making this post was when I googled the word "cockroach" and clicked the "Images" link.  Gawd, I couldn't take the sight of so many of those in my monitor! I just can't!  I actually had goosebumps when the search results were displayed, I couldn't take it, I immediately closed the tab.  For you to understand me, why don't you try googling it too, then tell me later how you felt. Hehe.

Anyhoo..  Why do I hate ipis? Let me count the ways:

1. They are so freakin' dirty. 'Nuff said.

2. Their color makes them scarier.  I remember Bob Ong had an ipis character in his book "Alamat ng Gubat".  The cockroach there was in denial of its identity too! Haha! If I remembered it right, it said: "Paruparo ako ... kulay brown lang ang pakpak!" You see! Cockroaches themselves disown their cockroach-ity. (If human is for humanity, cockroach is for cockroach-ity, ok?)

3. They are effin' blind!!! My goodness. It's enough that they're gross like that, but the fact that they wander around not knowing that they are already trespassing the human world adds to the horror.  I wish they knew that when people see them, they're most likely gonna get killed, so they would hide and we can all live peacefully.

4. They're everywhere!!!  It's unfair that they come in different and such small sizes.  They can live anywhere, dammit.

5. They freakin' fly!!!  This is what I hate the most about them.  They're ugly, dirty, stinky, BLIND! and they can fly :(.  What's worse is that they fly so fast and they're so tiny, you'd be surprised that it's already in front of your face; you wouldn't have time to duck no matter how quick your reflexes are.  Oh gosh, I hate them. >.<

The 30 day blog challenge - Day 09

Something/someone you’re proud of

Since day 5 of this 30-day blog challenge, I haven’t been conforming to the supposed tasks of defining ONE something-something.  If you may have noticed, I didn’t post A PICTURE in day 5, I posted pictures.  I also didn’t discuss A HOBBY I have in day 6, instead I enumerated HOBBIES.  Nor did I post A PICTURE of SOMEONE or SOMETHING that has THE BIGGEST impact on me on the 7th day; I instead exhibited PICTURES of TWO of my most beloved cartoon characters.

Now that I’m on day 9, I am supposed to confer SOMETHING or SOMEONE I am proud of.  I don’t want to break traditions, you know.  So again, I will not dwell on ONE person that makes me proud.  I’ve a lot of lovely people around me and they each deserve someone appreciating them.  I may not be vocal about these things, but the proud-ness I feel towards them is genuine nonetheless. :)

  • I’m proud of my Ate Lala for wholeheartedly putting our family’s welfare above all else.  She was my provider all throughout high school and college and though I haven’t been the sweetest sister to her, I know I am her favorite, haha! ;p  Seriously though, I am really proud of her selflessness, that even until today that she’s in Singapore, she still makes sure everything’s alright here by checking on us almost everyday.

    • I’m proud of Ate Jeng too, for being the mother figure in our family ever since Ate La left for SG (since Nanay has been in heaven for 5 years now).

      • I’m proud of my tropang isda!

      •  I’m proud of Noreen for being a “one-man team” for the company she’s working for, she’s always been a reliable person (and a genius too). No wonder her superiors trusted her of handling huge tasks that easily.

      •  I’m proud of Maude for recently taking on a new challenge in her life.  Though she’s still skeptic if she’d be able to handle it, I know (yes, more than she does, haha) that she’ll be able to overcome her fears and excellently perform each new tasks handed to her.

      • I’m proud of Nhix for being so strong and for not letting scarcity get in the way of her dreams of making it through college.  Now she’s her family’s own version of “Ate Lala” and I’m proud that she’s selfless like that. :)

      •  I’m proud of Jejo for being the only sane person in her family and live to tell about it.  so strong of a daughter, a sister, a friend and a woman.  It wouldn’t be right if I’d narrate the reasons why I see her that way, and maybe she doesn’t know this but I admire her strength in facing trials life throw her way.

      • I’m proud of Ep, for being able to handle motherhood with such grace.  I wasn’t sure myself if I’d be a great mother someday, but seeing Ep do it and love it at the same time, inspires me.

      • I’m proud of V for being the best boyfriend.  Had I known before that I’d be this happy, I shouldn’t have wasted time and pursued him instead! Haha! ;p  I’m proud of how he’s able to handle me and my rants, of how he’s there to control me when my impulse gets the better of me, of how his life values are slowly becoming mine, of how he loves his mother (boys who love their mother has always been a turn-on for girls and of course for me), of how he’s going panicky when I text him “I’m bored” when I'm at home, of how he’s simply there to make me feel that I’m not alone and that I am loved.

      • I’m proud of Ate Suzie, for being not just a team lead, but for being more like a mentor.  For always looking after me and for making sure I’m going the right path.  For giving me new challenges, not in the intent to taunt or mock me, but to sharpen my skills.

      • I'm proud of Batch 6 for still keeping intact after 5 years.  I'm happy that everytime I'm with them, I feel like high school all over again.  I'm proud that we're able to keep that friendship. :)

            Oh wait.

Hey, I’m proud of myself too! ;p

      • For being able to put up a blog (with quasi consistent posts) that actually lasted until now ^_^ and for being granted the Blog with Substance and the Versatile Blogger Award although this site has been up for only two months (and 11 days).
      • For being able to buy the first gadget out of the money I’ve worked hard for to earn.
      • For this. ;p
      • For being disciplined enough to stay away from rice since like two months ago (but dear God, how I miss it >.<)

      Ayun. ^^

The 30 day blog challenge - Day 08

Short term goals for this month and why

Short term goals for this month:

      1. See a dentist.
      2. Get my teeth cleaned and repaired.  Or at least start the process.
      3. Accomplish at least day 15 of this effin’ rule.
      4. Have my hair cut.
      5. Start shopping for Christmas (for myself and for my inaanaks, friends, family and loved one)
      6. Finish two documentations I promised my domain team lead and quality team lead to have accomplished.

I guess that’s about it.  Don’t wanna bite more than I can chew! Haha! :)

        Why?

        1. Of course! It was my long term goal before.  Long term because back then, I didn’t have the moolah.  Now that I have plenty (yes, plenty is the proper term, haha!) I’mma do this. ^_^  I actually had an appointment for a dental consultation that was scheduled a week ago, but the dentist had an emergency so it was cancelled.  Before this week ends, I’ll call again to see if we could do it this Saturday. :)

        2. Needless to say, after seeing the dentist, I want the process of cleaning and repairing to get started as soon as possible.  Not just because I’m desperately wanting to have a sparkly white teeth, but also because I’m scared that my precious money might transform into something else, like clothes, shoes, bags, food, movie tickets, and so on. Haha!

        3. When I decided to take on the 30-day blog challenge some two months ago, I also mentioned that I will finish this before the year ends.  Look at me now.  I’m not even accomplished with the half yet!! And it’s mid-November already!! Hahaha!

        4. I like me hair shorter.  Friends say it looked better on me.  Wanna do the comparison too??  *pictures to be pasted tomorrow*

        5. I’m not really fund of shopping for other people (well, except for my boyfriend, haha).  I’ll be honest in saying that I like shopping for myself and myself only.  So when I buy gifts for others, I don’t do it on a one-time-big-time manner.  I do it one by one.  Haha.  I do it in between my selfish shopping and this takes place on different weekends.  There have been additional people on my list of gift-receivers, so I think I better start now if I want to be finished by Christmas. Haha!

        6. Ugh. Work related.  But yeah, I’m adding this one too, because somehow, it is also me-related.  With promotion comes great responsibility and though I hate responsibilities, I have no choice.  Haha!  But seriously, I want these two documentations finished so I could finally say “Been there, done that” someday. *that day being December 1, haha* :)

The 30 day blog challenge - Day 07

A picture of someone/something that has a big impact on you

Okay, so I edited the title.

It was supposed to be “A picture of someone/something that has the (pronounced as thee) biggest impact on you”, but just by looking at it, I can’t really pinpoint one thing or one person who has THE (again, pronounce as thee for emphasis please?)  biggest effect on my life.  They are plenty and they affect me in very different yet each-important ways.

And I don’t wanna dwell on seriousness.

        Please.

So I’m choosing this pair of cute sea creatures:

        Yes, they are.

        Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick Star.

Haha! I’m sorry, friends, they are the chosen one.

I chose them because although I know there are a lot of grown ups out there loving them as much as I do, for me, they opened the door to sensible humor.  Haha, kidding.  The humor is just a plus but these two, no matter how stupid their characters play, deliver decent lessons about life, love and friendship.

Yeah I know,  I wasn’t impressed by the way they were drawn at first too.

I didn’t like the squareness of Spongebob before and it seemed odd to me that he’s living on a pineapple under the sea.  The cartoon series appealed to me as weird, too.  But I did give it a try, and now I’m glad to have done so!

Now, I own a lot of spongebob stuff.

Thanks to my colleague, Lovely, who made it possible for me to own a Spongebob KFC Bucket and both them tumblers!

I don't know where this cellphone blingbling is at the moment.  I had a Patrick, too.  But no picture to boast :( V bought me my first Spongebob cellphone blingbling, but it's already "expired", so I didn't take a picture of it na.  Haha. Kupas na in tagalog!

This shirt I bought at Divisoria.  I can't help it, it's rare to find a cheap Patrick shirt that actually looks like him!

A birthday gift from Noreen. :)

This has been my coin purse for (I think) four years now.  This is a Christmas gift from Ate Lala.  I've been trying to replace this, but nothing seems to get me over it. :)

Of course, he's my cellphone's and our desktop's wall paper, too!

Yeah well, maybe I don't own that much. I don’t intend to “collect” them anyway *plus some, I had no pictures of*.  I just find them cute, so I buy them. Or put them on my wish list so someone can give them to me as a gift. ;p

I’ve always intended to buy lots Patrick stuff, too, but it’s rare to find something that really looks like him.  I hate it when their faces get distorted that if I knew who did it, I’d look at the person with utter disgust until he or she apologizes with what he or she did.  Haha.

I’m really not a “die hard” type of fan, but this cartoon series comes close to pushing me to become one.  Yes, it’s weird, but I still do watch their episodes, heck even the tagalog version, no matter if I’ve watched it before.  I’m only depending on the TV, but I think I’ve watched each and every episode of seasons one to four.  Yes, I watched the movie in the big screen, too! *thank God I have friends who also love them, haha*  Too bad, I haven’t been able to catch up now, well, because I live... and work.  But hey, I think I’mma include a DVD of full Spongebob Squarepants episodes in my Christmas wishlist! Haha! Been wanting to own one for years! ^_^

The 30 day blog challenge - Day 06

        A hobby you have

        hob·by

        /ˈhɒbi/ [hob-ee]
        –noun, plural -bies.
An activity or interest pursued outside one's regular occupation and engaged in primarily for pleasure.an activity or interest pursued for pleasure or relaxation and not as a main occupation

By definition, that is hobby to you.  But ever since the gay “lingo” emerged here in the Philippines, the word “hobby” has taken on a whole new meaning, well at least to me.  I call something a hobby when I do it every effin time, like a habit.  Exactly, the supposedly special “leisure pursuit” becomes not-so special to me because I use it as a synonym of habit.  I use it as an expression too.  Like “gawin mong hobby ang maging late” or “hobby ko na umupo ng naka-indian seat sa swivel chair” haha.. you get the point, don’t you?  So for me to point out one “hobby” I have, that would be plain boring *plus, except blogging, there really is no other active hobby-by-definition that I enjoy doing these days*.  So I’m gonna share with you the ten “hobbies” that are on top of my mind right now.

        1)      Checking, before going all the way up, if there are cockroaches on my way to the mezzanine of our house, which is also my room.

        2)      Logging in to Facebook, Blogger, Twitter, Gmail in that same order everytime I go online at home.

        3)      Forgetting things I would like to say just before I was about to say them.

        4)      Procrastinating >=)

        5)      Eavesdropping >=)

        6)      Singing what ever is on in my cellphone’s music player out loud upon entering our house’s doorstep.

        7)      Nilulukot ang mukha while facing the computer at work *while working, of course* (this one’s not done purposefully, a colleague just noticed.. haha!)

        8)      Sumimangot (the tagalog word seemed more descriptive). Yes, I’m nakasimangot while walking, while watching something, while reading, while sleeping, while doing anything. This, too, is not being done with a purpose, people around me just noticed. Haha! And I can’t help it! I don’t know how to erase the simangot on my face!

        9)   Sleeping >=)

        10) Collecting five and ten peso coins. Oh and malulutong na 100 peso bills too! $_$

The 30 day blog challenge - Day 05

A picture of somewhere you’ve been to

Last Friday, my oh-so-fun-to-be-with college friends re-bonded. :) Since 2nd (or 3rd?) year, we've been spending our summers and sem-breaks on beach resorts and private pools.  We call it UBE, short for Ultimate Bonding Experience.  And we count them, haha.. We started our UBE zero in Nasugbu, Batangas.  The next ones were generally spent on various Pansol, Laguna private pools (I can't remember the names, though). The only exception was UBE  4 which was on Subic (the farthest we've been to at the time ;p).  Now we're on our seventh UBE -- UBE 6, that is (plus the zero kasi).

        Guess where we went?

        Well..

        No less than.....

        Puerto Galera!!!!!

A picture? Are you serious?! I'm not giving you A PICTURE. I'm giving you PICTURESSSSSS!!! Haha! *Daming S?!* It's my first time, so.. yeah. Haha!

Enough of the above water sceneries, let's go under. :) *thank you my super water proof D10 camera!*

Oh, and here's the gang... the famous fourteen :)

Enough of the pictures. Watch out for my next post, I'm gonna attempt and convert the UBE-6 joy into words. Toodles.
